Spring sunshine

It has been a beautiful weekend down in Dorset. As a result, lots of things that I was meant to do haven’t quite been done. But who wants to do boring tasks like writing invoices when you could be out in the garden?

Just in time, I got my early potatoes in. Far too late, I planted 120 lily bulbs in pots. I made a random trip to the garden centre planning to buy a bag of compost and came home with about 50 plants. I am sure you know the feeling.

The valley was filled with the sound of birdsong. An early bumble bee was out and about. The village is filled with daffodils and primroses are on every bank. Here’s a photo of my spring border. It’s a very good time of year. So long as you don’t listen to the news.
